Hey fresher's - congratulations on getting into the med-school, welcome to the great life of being a student in West London. We hope you are very much looking forward to it, don't be too nervous as it will all be fine, and you will have an amazing time!

So you'll get to uni and you'll have a million ideas about what kind of activities you want to do. You may have played hockey in school, or you may not have done, but please please consider joining us! It doesn't matter how good or rubbish you are at hockey - we have 3 teams that cater for all. We all have an amazing time and couldn't think what our uni lives would be without it. So many people join in 3rd, 4th or even 5th year and wonder why they didn't join the club earlier, which is such a shame. Hockey has something for everyone - for those who want to play sport seriously then we welcome you. But if you just want a bit of a run around, and a few drinks then it is also the right club for you. And if you don't drink alcohol, please don't be put off, there are lots of non-alcohol activities.

 The highlight of many people's years are the hockey tours we go on - the fresher's tour to Oxford (a way to introduce you guys to the oldies - both the guys and the girls), the easter tour to Canterbury Hockey Festival (the season isn't complete until you go camping and drink snakebite out of a watering can - a world full of fun), and the International Tour (Canada coming up!).

One great reason for joining ICSM Ladies Hockey Club is that we are (well self appointed!) the best fancy dressed club at Imperial - so remember before you leave home to grab anything that may help you turn yourself into a a smurf, a builder, a hobo etc. But don't worry if you can't find any, there happens to be a Primark up the road and we can help you out!

Most of all - the hockey club is where you get to meet some great people, meet people of different years (so useful when it comes to getting revision notes, exam advice, elective advice etc.) and somewhere where you will meet some friends that hopefully you will have a stupendous amount of fun with and keep for a long time!

If you're having doubts whether we are the club for you - then why not try us out and see, we won't be offended if you decide that it is not your thing, everyone is different!
